July 26, 2009 and fitness challenge begins!

Exercise

Ron, Carol and Daisy rode bikes for 2 miles.

Rhonda walked 20 minutes with Diggsley.

Someone got off to a slow start. She'll have to buck up tomorrow if she hopes to be neck and neck with those folks.

Eating

english muffin
with 1/2 banana
almond butter
apple butter.


Smoothie:

strawberries
2 kiwis
banana
1/2 c oatmeal
flaxmeal

almond butter on the side

I have sucessfully resisted the rice krispie squares so far by considering my choices.

Popcorn

I submitted myself to the rice krispie squares.
Chocolate pretzels - 15 or 20 small ones.

Rice cakes - 10 mini.
Smoothie with banana, beet greens, kale, strawberry, coconut soy. I feel full!

Egg & tomato with blue cheese plus english muffin
Ricotta breakie with oatmeal, almond butter, cinnamon, fruit
Breakfast burrito with egg, cheese, tomato, avocado, sliced meat

Snacks
Avocolada
Banana with almond butter

Lunch
Mu shu lettuce wraps
Chilled soup - Cucina Testa Rossa

Breakie:

smoothie, banana choco muffin, & chai for 8 points
veg, whole grain, liquid
Lunch:
Chicken Spinach salad with 1/2 T dressing for 6 points
healthy fat, lean meat, and veg.
so far for liquids chai, tea, and currently drinking a tea as well. Probably a bit behind on my liquids. Better drink up!

Dinner:

pea salad, yam fries, rice

I made a smoothie with kale, blueberries, strawberries and yogurt. I've been sipping that throughout the day.

What! Why!

Yesterday's carnage prompted this blog.

The story: I had too teeny of a lunch and was ravenous consequently by the time I left work at 5:45. I decided to stop at Dairy Queen for a small blizzard. Well, I got the small blizzard but saw onion rings on the menu and decided those were too good to pass up. And then saw the chicken fingers and decided to get those too making it a combo. I got a water instead of a grodie sodie though.

A disclaimer would be required if I posted a picture.

So blogging it is! I've been perusing blogs lately for healthy food ideas and there are so many good blogs full of ideas out there! So now I'm making one too. The objective is for me to be more accountable about what goes in my mouth. Tracking and taking pictures will definitely help!

This idea came to fruition last night through to this morning. The title came to me while lying in bed this morning.
